Why become a member?

Becoming a member of The Catalyst grants you the following privileges:

  • Take part in the planning and realization of exciting projects
  • Free weekly drop-in improv sessions
  • Reduced price (sometimes free) and prioritized admission for Catalyst organized improv, theater, and sci-comm workshops.
  • CatCave9 tickets at student/AVS/AI price.
  • Access to an annual members’ retreat
  • Access our internal Slack communication tool
  • Communication, administrative, and financial support from The Catalyst if you want to start your own science-related project

If you just want to try it out, your first time to the drop-in is free. After that, each drop-in you attend without becoming a Catalyst member will cost you 10 CHF to be paid to that day’s leader or by TWINT.

Membership fee

For the academic year 2024/2025 (Sept 1 – August 31), the Catalyst Membership fee is 75 CHF.

For one semester (Sept 1 – Feb 1 or Feb 1 – August 31), the Catalyst Membership fee is 50 CHF.
