Our Vision
Science is often presented as complicated, dry and unemotional. Researchers know that the experience of science is anything but! We aim to provide researchers a performance and storytelling toolkit to help them engage both public and scientific audiences throughout their careers. In addition to providing training in improv, storytelling and science communication, we also create new entertainment with a scientific twist. We like people to laugh and learn simultaneously.
Mission Statement
- To use improvisation and storytelling techniques to help scientists be more effective and engaging communicators.
- To provide an incubator for new media about scientific research and for the creation of novel modes of science communication.
- To provide a welcoming and open network for those passionate about and committed to the intersection of science and entertainment–our members–regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, profession, national origin, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
