The Catalyst hosts weekly improvisation sessions designed for the scientific community. We also offer a variety of workshops that teach theater and speaking skills to scientists or other groups.
Weekly Drop-in Improvisation
Drop-in sessions are organisedso that participants can simply 'drop-in' and experience improv. These sessions are a great opportunity to develop your improv skills in a relaxed atmosphere and are for all skill levels.
Drop-ins are now hosted at the following locations:
University of Lausanne, Genopode Building, Room 2020
Wednesdays, 18:30 - 20:00
University of Geneva, Centre Medical Universitaire (CMU), Room D02.1759.
Wednesdays, 18:45 - 20:30
The fee for yearly Catalyst Membership is 50 CHF. This will give you access to all weekly drop-ins and our less frequent workshops with fancy improvisors and theater people. Alternatively, you can also be involved on a term-by-term basis for 30 CHF per term. To pay, transfer the desired amount to IBAN: CH94 0900 0000 8976 1579 3, with your name and 'membership' in the comments
If you just want to try it out, your first time to the drop-in is free. After that, each drop-in you attend without paying the 30 CHF fee by bank transfer, will cost you 5 CHF to be paid to that day's leader.
Drop-in is also an opportunity to socialise with other like-minded people. After each drop-in session the group heads to a local restaurant on the EPFL campus or in the centre of Lausanne to share dinner, thoughts, and banter.
Send an email to improv AT thecatalyst DOT ch if you are in doubt.
